This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The stools and chair bands will help provide flexible seating to 6th to 8th grade students in my classroom. All of my students are in a low incidence Cluster classroom. In my classroom students move around stations throughout the school day to help provide moment breaks. However, the materials in this project will help provide more movement and choice. The stools will be placed at the technology station, which all students will be able to use during the day. An extra stool can be given to the stat student to sit in on Friday's. The chair bands will be placed at the two other stations and/ or at individual student desks based on the need of students. The bean bag chairs will be placed in a corner of the classroom which students can use throughout the day. For example, during reading, during independent work, or a during calm classroom.
