Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items requested are all flexible seating items for students who are diagnosed with ASD to be able to use within a classroom. These items will not only support 1 classroom but 6 classrooms that are all designated for students who are on the autism spectrum.
Flexible seating in classrooms allows students to choose their seating arrangements, promoting comfort, engagement, and collaboration, ultimately fostering a more dynamic and effective learning environment.
All students deserve a classroom that helps them learn as these items allow them to access the curriculum while also meeting their needs as neuro-diverse learners.
These items allow students to meet their sensory needs while learning, allowing them to better attend and listen to the lesson given to them, thus enhancing their overall school and academic experience.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
