This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love working with all my students and providing them with seating options to best fit all their needs. Currently, my students are all sitting at either tall tables in chairs or at low tables with old cushions. This is an issue with seating.
Different seating options for each child to choose the option and size that best suits their needs will greatly benefit my students.
New wobble cushions will allow those students who have a hard time focusing during lessons and independent work to continue moving while working. The stools will allow students more flexibility working at the high tables. A soft floor pillow will make it easier for me to sit down low with students and work at their level. These flexible seating options will make it possible for my most active students to wiggle and focus at the same time, creating a window for greater progress in the time I have with them.
