My Students

As a teacher of military children, my students are faced with many challenges that civilian students do not typically face. Many of them have already moved 2 or 3 times by the time they are in first grade. Despite these challenges, my students adapt to new situations and ideas easily and are eager to expand their knowledge.

My students are resilient, adaptable, and compassionate.

I admire my students' strength. Their parent(s) joined the military, but they did not. Yet they deal with deployments, frequent moves and school transitions with an attitude that is admirable. They come to school every day eager to learn more.

My Project

Not all students learn in the same way, and it is no secret that young learners need to wiggle. Many students are able to concentrate and retain more information when they are able to wiggle, lean, bounce and move as they learn.

My donating to our project, you will be funding stools, exercise balls and scoop rockers that will be used as seating to help increase student concentration and focus which, in return, will increase overall student achievement.

This project will change my students' academic lives for the better. They will be given the freedom to choose a work space and seat that best helps them achieve their academic goals.
