My Students

My students are simply incredible! I am in my sixth year teaching, and these kids have such a wonder and yearning to learn. They ask so many questions and constantly want to learn more. These students make me want to do all I can to make them continue to love coming to school every day.

When the bell rings at the end of the day, my students tell me they'd rather stay at school!

We have participated in many science experiments and virtual field trips and they love taking notes to ask questions for later. We are a Title I school which means 75%+ of our students are on free or reduced lunch and sometimes don't have food at home for the weekends. I try to make their learning experience as enjoyable as mine was when I attended school.

My Project

The days of sitting in rows and being silent in school are long gone! Today, our students are active and can't sit still! The sitting desks gives kids the freedom to work comfortably around the room - it also prevents oopsies with accidentally leaving computers on the group!

This standing desk will help students who have the squirmy wormies to be more engaged in what they are learning!

I have seen such a difference with other materials in my classroom that I use for flexible seating, and this will allow the kids to be that much more engaged with the learning process.
