Can you remember your kindergarten classroom? You probably remember bright colors, a warm inviting environment, and tons of fun learning! I know I do! Flexible seating areas would give my students the option to move, have a choice, and learn in an environment that suits them.
My 18 kindergarteners are a warm, bubbly group that enjoy learning.
My students attend a primary school, grades kinder through 4. It is my first year in the district but ninth teaching. I would love to provide them with all the essentials of a 21st century cafe style classroom!
My Project
I think that transforming our seating would transform the environment. Right now, my students have assigned seats and every area is exactly the same. Think of those days when you have a lot to get done. I don't know about you, but I love having the choice of where to get my work done. Sometimes it's the office, sometimes it's the couch, but having that choice is what helps me be productive! What is kindergarten without a homey feel? These stools, cushions, and benches will create a classroom full of choice and comfort.
Without your donation, my students will not be able to be as comfortable in their classroom.
