My Students
My students come from all different backgrounds. I have 33 bright individuals who thrive in a creative, elaborate, and diverse classroom. About half of my students speak a language other than English. The languages that are represented in my class are Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Russian, Japanese and Vietnamese. We celebrate everyone's culture in my class, and my students love to share their traditions with everyone.
We all come from different backgrounds, but, in the classroom, we are one community.
My class is a sweet bunch that includes and welcomes anyone who comes into the classroom. I love their enthusiasm to learn every day!
My Project
This year I have been stressing my students in having good self-control and allowing my students to practice good self-efficacy. We practice problem-solving skills and learning how to cooperate with all different students every day. Flexible seating will allow students to have choice and this allows them to make smart choices in the classroom in all different aspects.
Allowing for flexible seating will challenge my students to work together and problem solve TOGETHER.
This seating arrangement will allow them to practice self-control while working with others and work with kids they may not get a chance to work with every day.
