it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my classroom I try to provide flexible seating to keep their interest going.
A lot of time they find themselves bored and lost when they are sitting in their desk all day long.
I already allow them to move to the rug to sit for some of their work, but it is hard to allow that as much as I'd like to when they are working in their workbooks. That is why I am asking for their lap desks so they can work on the rug while still being able to use their workbook with a lap desk. I have some students who get distracted and lose focus at their desk, so if they're sitting on the rug right in front of the board, they will have better focus.
I am asking for the wobble chairs to provide something fun and interesting during my small groups with math and reading. I am hoping if I can bring something fun like these chairs, they will look forward to coming to work at small groups.
