My first graders are eager to see their first-grade classroom tomorrow! When they walk into our classroom they will be sitting in the traditional school chairs. Not everyone will find this type of seating choice the comfiest to learn in. To further promote independence in my first-grade class I want my to provide my students with flexible seating choices. I want them to feel comfortable and engaged while they learn in my class. Students need to be aware of different seating types and find which seating choice best suits their individual needs.
