This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our classroom is full of wonder, excitement, and challenges. We have a wide range of abilities and interests including students who are reading at a Kinder to 5th grade level.

My students love to work in groups, learn through hands-on activities, and moving their bodies!

The flexible seating options that I am asking to have funded will take the place of traditional seating in the classroom. Kids' concentration grows as they rock back, forth and all around because the continuous movement increases blood flow to the brain enabling greater attentiveness. Who wants to sit still all day?

I already have the floor table but in past years it has been hard for them to sit on the floor (eventually their back starts hurting), so these floor chair would work perfectly with my table.
