Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class is a lively bunch of students who are energetic and eager to learn. Each day they come into our classroom ready to learn and try something new. Majority of my students come from low-income families and the students’ education is viewed as a high priority.
These young boys and girls come to school with so much already on their plate that we do our best to find fun new ways to learn.
We try to make school a fun and safe place to be. I hope to send my students into the world more confident than when they came in and for them to feel that they can achieve anything they set their minds to.
My Project
Traditional seating in my classroom is no longer an effective way to keep my students engaged and focused on learning. By providing these options for seating within my classroom students will have some control over how they learning best.
Providing choices can be empowering and give some students the control they need in their lives that they may not otherwise have.
Students will have the options to pick how and where they can learn best on a daily basis. The hope is that this will lower the behavior and focus issues I see everyday and students will be able to engage more in their daily learning.
