Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students work hard in class. They put their best foot forward and are inspired to do better. Their parents value education greatly but are often unable to support learning outside of the school day.

The students of today will be the leaders of tomorrow; future doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, engineers, and software designers.

As a teacher, it is my job to prepare these students for careers that are not in existence yet. By giving my students opportunities in the classroom to grow and succeed, I can see that I am shaping the future of our GREAT nation.

My Project

I would like to give my students the chance to sit around the room comfortably while they choose to complete their work away from their desk. Bean bags, comfy seats and pillows will help them feel more at home. Students can be more productive when they see that their work is not attached to their seat.

With new seating options, like comfy chairs and floor seats I believe my students will be more productive.

I know I like to work in various spots around the classroom at different times, I can imagine that my students could benefit from a change of scenery too. Right now when we flex seat, we just pick another spot around the room and sit on the tile. I would like my students to be more comfortable in their seating choices with some new flexible seating options from Lakeshore.
