My students are enthusiastic about learning! They are bright, energetic, and outgoing individuals. They love to ask questions and keep me on my toes! They always want to know "what if," with the books they can research their answers. I teach 30 students in Sun City, Arizona. I want to provide my students with a chance to explore science through books.
Science gives us a chance to explore the entire world, with all its secrets and mysteries.
My students will be excited to have resources available to help them learn about our science curriculum.
My Project
Flexible seating will allow my students to focus when they are learning. They will have the opportunity to have the option to move/wiggle when they need.
I want to instill in my students the love of reading.
I love to learn and share things with my students. I want them to have the opportunity to have lots of different books to read. We have new social studies curriculum and it will be awesome to have books to support the concepts. We are learning about the Incas, Mayans, Aztecs, and the Road to the Revolution. I have also selected other books that will reinforce concepts taught in language arts - theme, plot, author's purpose, text structure, etc.
As a class we love to work on science projects that promote critical thinking and learning. A 3-d printer would allow students to have the ability to design, create, and work together to create science based learning projects.
The Teacher Pay Teacher credit will allow me to purchase lesson/activities to use with my 4th grade students in science, math, language arts, and social studies. It is very helpful to have fun and engaging lessons for my 4th grade students.
