Help me give my students the flexible seating and sensory tools for a successful return to school.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Sara Karcher's classroom raised $1,029
This project is fully funded
My Students
As a special education teacher in a low-income St. Louis City school, I have the opportunity to meet the social, emotional and academic needs of some amazing kindergarten thru fifth-grade scholars.
These scholars have shown such growth now that they are part of my classroom!
Many of my students come from very difficult situations and work hard so that they can become successful learners. Our classroom is called GIFTS: Gaining Independence For Total Success, as we focus not only on academics, but also social, emotional, behavioral and life skills.
My Project
Our scholars are so excited to be back in person. Please help us make next year an excellent start!
We would love to have some new flexible seating options that are easy to clean and will provide the sensory input our scholars crave!
The ball chairs and wobble seats will be available for scholars to use throughout the school day in the special education classrooms. This will help give them the movement ability without distracting their classmates.
The sensory table and materials will also be a great addition to our classroom. We would love to have a safe sensory area for scholars to use during breaks or when they need a moment to calm down or deescalate.
