Flexible Seating and organization for Kindergarten
Help me give my students flexible seating for our centers and a mobile organizer, supply center and stapler help me keep things organized and tidy. All of these things are easily sanitized and cleaned for many students.
I teach 20 happy, energetic, loving kindergarteners who are very flexible and happy to be in school. They are so fun and love to be engaged in work and using their brains. They are from a neighborhood that is 1/3 or more low-income. We don't get extra funding through Title I. So, we have a small per classroom budget or we purchase things out of our own pocket.
My Project
My students are active, fun five and six year old students. Giving them the choice of where to sit and which "chair" to sit on is such a fun decision for them to be able to make their own choices. Students read with better attention and excitement when they get to make their own choices. In a time where everything is so uncertain, making their own choices to learn is a great thing. These items are so easily sanitized and used for many students. The items will be used for many years to follow. I also put on some organizational helps. The mobile cart, supply center and stapler assist in keeping things tidy and neat. Also super easy to clean and sanitize.
