This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in a suburb of Los Angeles with a wonderful group of students. We are a diverse group with many different abilities and needs. I love being their teacher and look forward to coming to school every day (even on Zoom) to see and teach them.
These kids have been amazing to have back at school.
My students finished last year online, and they are starting this year in person. They are so happy to be back in the classroom.
I can see that they are a wonderful group of kids and they deserve to have an excellent year.
My Project
I am asking for yoga ball replacements as well as new storage options for my students to be successful in having a flexible seating option while they learn.
Flexible seating helps students focus and succeed more in school.
By giving my students chairs that allow them to move and storage to keep their materials, they have the ability to get their wiggles out and focus on lessons. Students usually are able to succeed a bit more when flexible seating is an option. I am also asking for yoga balls to replace a few that have popped this year. Thank you for your generosity and for giving to our classroom!
