My students need various leveled items for a flexible seating environment and an iPad and AppleTV to allow me to move around the room while delivering instruction.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students truly come to school every day, ready to learn. We are a Title I low-income campus with over 70 percent of our scholars qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch. They have been such troopers since Hurricane Harvey destroyed so much of our community. In addition to leading them academically, we are also helping them recover emotionally from the devastation the hurricane left. It is not an easy task, but my scholars are resilient and they are putting their education at the top of their list of priorities.
My Project
These different seating options will help contribute to scholar-driven instruction. Flexible seating allows further differentiation for each scholar. My scholars will have the freedom to sit where they learn best. After Hurricane Harvey in 2017, so many resources were lost or destroyed. Scholars lost things, teachers lost things... it has been a true effort by all to recover.
With the Apple TV and iPad, I will be able to effectively teach without being tied to a desk.
I will be able to move around the room and get in close proximity to EVERY student during key instructional time. We will use the yoga balls and bar table to give the scholars a variety of seating options. They will add to the collection of seating items I have already purchased out of my own pocket.
