Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have recently started letting the kiddos choose their own spot to work in the classroom and the impact has been HUGE! They are more engaged in their work and produce more when they are given the choice to pick a spot where they are comfortable and feel secure. I've noticed less behaviors occur and less redirecting around the classroom. It really gives them a chance to be independent in their choices! Having flexible seating in the classroom would give them more comfortable seating options and keep them excited to work independently!
