This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As the reading specialist in a Title I school, I have found that offering my students flexible seating options has helped them stay more engaged in their learning. With the wobble stools I am hoping to get, my students will be able to wobble while they attempt to read.
Reading can be hard for some learners, and adding just a little bit of comfort could go a long way toward helping them succeed.
The goal is to use the wobble chairs at my small group reading table where I will work directly with students in a one-to-one or four-to-one environment.
It is with these wobble stools that I hope to foster a love of reading and literacy growth throughout the school year.
