I teach 23 kindergarten kiddos from the Nashville area! I teach at a Title I school, meaning the more then 50% of our students are in the low socioeconomic status. My school is a melting pot of students, and we house a large percentage of ELL students as well as students with special needs. Our school is so lucky to service so many different students, but it becomes challenging to meet all their needs. Providing my learners with flexible seating options will meet the various needs of my learners!
My Project
The circle rug will enable all learners to see one another's faces! This will enhance our classroom community! This rug will be where all my small instruction will take place. My school has required RTI time, I will use the circle rug for all of this instruction time!
I am building my flexible seating options and have lowered my table to fit wobble cushions!
I would love my students to have the cushions as an option for the upcoming 2018/19 school year! Flexible seating has proven to be successful for all learners and I feel these cushions will be a favorite!
