This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help bring comfort and flexibility to our 4th and 5th grade math classroom! I’m requesting a large classroom rug, floor pillows, and mini notebooks to create a collaborative space where students can gather for math talks, small group instruction, hands-on activities, and problem-solving work.

Many of my students benefit from being able to move around and choose a learning spot that helps them focus.

A rug will give us a central area for number talks, math games, and whole-group discussions, while the pillows will give students flexible seating options to work independently or in small groups.

Right now, we don't have a comfortable place to gather on the floor, and traditional desks don't always support the kind of collaboration and engagement that math learning thrives on. With your help, we can create a space that supports both comfort and critical thinking!
