This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I want my students to be comfortable reading and completing work when they come to our library. I want to be more flexible with their seating options and promote a relaxing environment. The floor seating will invite the students to get comfortable as they read their library books.
Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them.
I think it is hard to enjoy a good book when you are sitting on hard chairs at a table.
Floor seating, including bean bag chairs and floor rockers, will make reading relaxing and enjoyable. I hope this will create a calm environment.
