This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are creating a new library space in our school this year. Currently, most of the seating we have is desk chairs that we have taken from excess classroom seating to have enough seats in the space for students. However, much of this seating is not necessarily the most comfortable and does not inspire students to sit and read in our library.
We need new, comfortable seating options to create a library space where people want to stay and read.
We would like to get a couch for our library space, to give students more options in terms of seating. This couch would be far more comfortable to sit in compared to the standard student desk chairs that we currently have. It will also foster a more comfortable environment, that will encourage students to stay and read for longer in our new library space.
