My Students
I have been a primary teacher for the past 10 years! Next year I will be transitioning to 3rd grade! The students at NEAT are hard working, caring and eager to learn. I am so excited to work with 3rd graders! However, having taught in primary grades for most of my career most of my materials are geared towards primary students. As I make this transition I would love to create an environment that allows for collaboration and flexibility for my 3rd graders!
My Project
I would like to give my students the ability to have flexible seating to increase their performance and engagement in the classroom. I am eager to create an environment where students can have options for flexible seating.
These stools and cushions allow for seating options and can easily be moved to allow for collaboration.
They will also be used for easy access to seating at our guided reading table.
I also am asking for new white boards and erasers. This are tools that are very valuable! When student's are able to use flexible seating they can work around the room. They can use the boards to work. This gives them a surface to work on and is a great assessment tool for me as teacher since I can easily see their work and also a great way for them to collaborate with peers.
