Flexible Groups

Help me give my students to get everything needed to have flexible seating. I have already purchased chairs looking to use these tables for more collaborative work in the ELA classroom.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious, energetic middle schoolers who thrive when they are active participants in their learning. They love movement, creative thinking, and working together to solve real problems. Our classroom is a place where student voice matters and collaboration fuels success.

To fully embrace the Thinking Classroom model—a research-based approach that fosters problem-solving, peer discussion, and student ownership—I am requesting collaborative tables to replace outdated, inflexible desks.

These tables will allow students to stand, sit, and group themselves easily as they rotate through tasks, think visibly, and support one another in real time.

Right now, our current furniture limits mobility and group interaction. By providing flexible tables, I can create learning spaces that encourage dynamic thinking, productive struggle, and shared success.

I’m requesting collaborative tables that are:

Easy to move and reconfigure

Large enough for group problem-solving and team discussion

Supportive of both seated and standing work

These tables will help me group students randomly and rotate tasks more easily—key practices in the Thinking Classroom model. Students will be able to think out loud, learn from peers, and engage in meaningful discussions that deepen their understanding.

With your help, my classroom will become a space where thinking is visible, movement is purposeful, and students are motivated to take academic risks. These tables will support every everything we tackle, ELA, social studies, and the arts—and empower students to take ownership of their learning journeys.

Thank you for helping my students grow not just as learners, but as thinkers, leaders, and teammates.
