Help me give my students a horse shoe table to facilitate small group instruction. We are three teachers with only two adequate working spaces. This table will help support our english language learners and students with disabilities.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach English language learners and Students With Disabilities in a Title I public school in New York City. Most of my students come from Hispanic backgrounds where Spanish is the dominant language spoken at home. My students are always excited to learn new things. They face challenges in learning the English language; however, they have the willingness to learn and do their absolute best every day.
My Project
This table will give the three teachers in our classroom the adequate working spaces to facilitate small group instruction. We currently service English language learners and students with disabilities. We notice that our students are more engaged when they have proper working spaces as well as flexible areas. Flexible working areas for teachers provide students with the opportunities to work closely with teachers in a smaller setting. The pandemic has greatly affected our students and small group learning has helped students adapt to being in the classroom without anxiety, thank you in advance for supporting our classroom project.
