My Students
My students are from the highest poverty and they need to technology and tools to show them that our school will support their dreams and provide them with all of the necessities to make them a reality! These students are incredibly grateful and appreciative of all that we offer them because they know they may not have had access to these tools or these opportunities outside of school. They work really well together and appreciate the opportunity to collaborate.
The students live in a suburb of a large city, and they appreciate access to the newest technology.
Because school offers materials they may not have access to at home, they treat school property very well while at school. The students sit at tables in groups and are very used to sharing equipment and collaborating with others. These donations would allow them to share their group work with the class in new and innovative ways.
My Project
The newest trend in education is flexible seating for students! By taking a few small steps toward this goal, I am asking for a desk and stools that my students can use for collaboration in meaningful ways.
Students deserve a fun and flexible space for learning and interacting with texts, and this is particularly important for English classrooms!
My students will absolutely love this atmosphere in discussing our literature.
This project will help me introduce this new method of flexible seating to my students in a meaningful way that introduces the rationale behind this new education trend. Students should be excited to walk into class, and the switch of just a few seats can help to do this for them.
