Flexible Fun Furniture for Fidgety Flowers

My Project

I wish to provide my fidgety kiddos with the Surf Portable Lap Desk, Kids Floor Desk, and flexible seating. We all learn differently and are all comfortable in different seating. I want to make my classroom as inviting as possible, with as few barriers to comfortable learning as possible.

The "surf lap desks" will allow the students to pick a seat on the counter, floor, or a stand-alone chair without sacrificing a desk surface upon which to work.

I allow my students to pick their seats, and they do so well when given "ownership" of where in the class they choose to learn. I have fidgety students who like to sit on the floor and counter, and while I have clipboards, that simply doesn't take the place of a desk surface.

The cushions will allow the students that sit on the counter or floor, to sit more comfortably. Students should be able to have some autonomy with how they learn, and I believe that includes seating choices.

The candy is used to incentivize, motivate, and reward: effort, good behavior, academic achievement, and progress. The kids say it helps them stay motivated when they feel like giving up.

I care about my students very much and want them to be comfortable learning. They're more willing to go above and beyond when they're in a comfortable environment because they feel taken care of and safe.
