This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach second graders that are exceptional in our border city community. Each student in my classroom loves learning, participating with hands-on activities, and developing their social skills in the classroom or outside. We try a variety of learning strategies to enhance the love of learning through differentiating instruction that includes flexible seating. My students always look forward to a successful school year!

We are part of seven second grade sections that have English language learners, inclusion students, and socially challenged students due to their home lives.

My students are highly motivated in spite of their challenges.

My Project

Flexible seating will increase learning in the classroom. Students will be comfortable, eager to learn, and develop skills being taught. If students are at ease and feel like their learning space is a safe and relaxing place they will focus on the task.

Second graders will be able to sit where they want and be comfortable using the flexible chairs and take ownership of their learning.

Students will be able to sit and work in an environment that is kid friendly. They will be focused and be able to do their very best with school work on a daily basis.
