Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These new seating options will encourage my students to find a spot in the room that helps them focus and feel motivated to learn. Right now I have a few yoga balls, but that is the extent of their flexible seating options. My students are constantly asking for new areas to sit so that they can work in a positive learning environment.
These flexible seating options will promote student engagement, support diverse learning styles, encourage responsibility and collaboration.
Unfortunately, my students do not love to sit at the carpet when I am teaching a mini-lesson. It is important to have my students in close proximity to ensure that they are attentive and to minimize distractions. These seating arrangements can spark excitement while we are learning at the carpet!
