Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project will help me provide flexible floor seating for my students using the Lakeshore Flex-Space Washable Comfy Floor Seats. These seats will allow students to move away from traditional desks and choose a seating option that best meets their learning style — whether during independent reading, small group work, or quiet reflection time.
Research shows that students are more engaged and focused when given choice and comfort in how they learn.
These cushioned seats are not only comfortable but also adjustable, easy to clean, and sturdy — making them ideal for daily classroom use.
Right now, we have limited flexible seating options in our classroom. Adding these floor chairs will give my students a chance to sit in ways that support their physical and emotional needs. Flexible seating fosters independence, builds classroom community, and increases student motivation — especially for students who struggle with traditional seating arrangements.
