Flexible Choices in Our Classroom

Help me give my students choices in flexible seating options in our classroom.

My Project

In my learning environment, I feel that flexible seating and a sensory-friendly atmosphere will have an impact on my students' lives. It will teach them community skills and offer them comfort and choice in the learning environment. Flexible seating will also increase student engagement.

When learners have a choice, they are taking control of their own learning.

This simply cannot be done when kids are sitting in traditional desks and chairs all day. Flexible seating will encourage this.

These high tables will also make the learning environment more sensory-friendly. We have a meeting each morning to get our "brains in the game" and discuss community issues. All of these supplies will help students who need motor breaks to get their wiggles out in a way that does not bring attention to them by their peers.
