Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My goal for this project is to create a flexible, student-centered learning environment where every student can thrive. By integrating flexible seating like classroom carpet, round yoga pillows, and organized classroom shelves with bins, I’ll be able to personalize instruction to meet each student’s unique needs. These tools will allow students to work where and when they want, while I provide targeted small-group or one-on-one instruction.
The specific materials in this project— Flexible seating environment will help transform my classroom into a blended learning space.
Students will rotate through stations that include teacher-led instruction, independent digital learning, and collaborative problem-solving. This setup not only builds academic skills but also encourages independence, time management, and ownership of learning. With these resources, students will no longer be limited by a one-size-fits-all approach.
My students are creative, curious, and incredibly motivated to learn, but many of them face challenges outside the classroom that impact their academic progress. Despite those obstacles, they show up each day ready to grow. What makes them special is their resilience and eagerness to learn when given the right tools, support, and flexible seating. This project will help ensure that each of them receives the personalized guidance they deserve.
