My Project

Flexible seating allows students to move around the classroom, work comfortably, and make the choices that work best for their learning. During independent work and break times, my students will be able to choose a location in the classroom that works for them. This year I am in a new classroom with 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students with Language and Learning Disabilities. Having these cushions and the ability to move around the room, will help strengthen their focus and even just get the wiggles out.

My students will truly benefit from sensory breaks.

For this reason, our classroom could use sensory tools. I have chosen some STEM activities/supplies so that my students can "relax" while also exercising those Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math skills. My goal is to add these supplies and items to my classroom in order to allow my students to learn to their fullest potential and demonstrate their creativity.
