Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are curious, motivated, and full of potential. Every day, they come to school ready to learn and grow. To truly support them, we need more than just the basics—we need various learning materials that speak to their diverse strengths, interests, and learning styles. Traditional textbooks alone aren’t enough. With hands-on tools, visual aids, culturally relevant books, and interactive technology, I can create a classroom environment where all students feel engaged and empowered.
Many of my students face challenges outside of school, including limited access to resources at home.
That’s why it’s so important that our classroom is a place where they can explore, create, and thrive. A wide range of learning materials allows me to reach each student in a way that works for them. Whether it's using manipulatives to make math more accessible, standing desks to engage in learning, reusable desk whiteboards, or diverse books that help students see themselves in the stories they read, these tools make a real difference in how students connect with their education.
