This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are my life. They have been through so much in the last 2 years of their little lives. Most have been engaging in remote learning during Pre-K and will be embarking on a brand new school adventure for Kindergarten!

I believe the sky is the limit for my students!

They need a warm and welcoming environment in order to help them adjust to being in school. For many students, this will be their first time engaging in "in-person" learning. My goal is to give them a welcoming environment in which they feel can comfortable and can be successful.

My Project

Flexible seating is a great way to provide students with the ability to make choices within their environment while enhancing their learning experiences. It has been proven that when students have a sense of ownership and control within the classroom, it increases their engagement thus leading to higher motivation and higher academic performance.

This project will provide my students with ownership and control within their environment-hopefully setting them up for success in our school year!

The first years are the most important, help me make their first in-person year a success!
