I work in the library of a very diverse high school. My students range in age from 15-19 in grades 9-12. Students are allowed to use the library all day long with a pass. They have time to come in before school, during classes, and during lunch.
Here a WGHS, we want Tables that are not falling apart and allows for collaborative learning.
WG Media Center will host students for research and other activities. We have an open policy with teacher permission of course.
My Project
Currently, my media center is full of mix-matched, old an very uncomfortable chairs that are hard to use for collaborative activities. Having new chairs that are the same will provide a more cohesive look in the media center but more importantly, it will allow students the space and comfortability needed to perform group activities.
Since the media center allows for students to gather practical information, there is much opportunity for fun activities and projects which would be better accommodated with more practical and spacious seating.
Please consider funding this request to provide students with new seating.
