Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school environment really emphasizes and builds on community and supporting one another. I am ready to move away from traditional desks that naturally inhibit collaboration and movement, and ready to move toward a fluid classroom concept!
The use of flexible seating and community supplies will further student collaboration and engagement, and embrace individual work styles in a fun learning environment!
I will lower my tables to accommodate floor seating, rocking seating, and low chairs. Students will keep crayons, pencils, clipboards, and other supplies in community storage to encourage sharing and caring.
I can't wait to watch students explore flexible seating and a shared learning environment by using free work spaces and no 'assigned desks', and I appreciate your help in creating this for 2nd grade!
