This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All students deserve a space that encourages learning, relaxation and comfort. Being in a small school with limited space, students normally visit and sit in certain classrooms for multiple periods throughout the day. Without a central school library, many teachers use their own classrooms to store hundreds of books, thus giving students even less space to spread out, work and read.

By offering students options like floor mats for our "Book Nook" area as well as floor desks and a futon for independent reading, students will have better options to engage with their work and feel comfortable while doing so!
