This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are approaching the end of 2nd grade, and our last 3 weeks of school we want to introduce a book study to help prepare our 2nd graders for 3rd grade.
Our goal at the end of the year is to read 2nd grade level texts independently and fluently.
These Flat Stanley books will not only help fluency, but they will also keep students engaged! These books will allow students to interact with families and the community through fun take-home projects throughout the three week unit.
I am excited to give students a sense of ownership in their learning through providing them with their own copy of Flat Stanley!
