My Students
My students attend an International Baccalaureate Title I school in Houston, Texas. Fourth grade is a school year that's filled with curiosity and interaction. They love to explore the unknown and what better way to do this than with the assistance of technology!
My classroom is full of brave students who are willing to learn.
They inspire me and each other to be open-minded and grow. We love to learn from each other. Everyday is filled with excitement and knowledge.
My Project
Every Friday, we have book buddies with 2nd graders. We would like to make book buddies more interesting by using flashlights. Students will be able to use flashlights as they whisper-read aloud books to each other. This is a great way to make reading more fun and also lower the noise level.
My students can also use this during independent reading time to be engaged readers.
I like to dim the lights down in my room for reading time, so having flashlights will help my students read. We can also find other ways to incorporate these flashlights into other subjects and lessons as well.
