Both our students and their families are eager to gain automaticity with their multiplication tables. This is the root of all types of higher achievement in mathematics. Master the tables and all types of new learning are open to a student! We recently held parent-teacher conferences, and parents of students in grades 3-5 were asking how they can help with "old school" math practice at home, namely multiplication tables.
Parents are often confused by what they term "new math," and crave opportunities to support their children in ways that are familiar to them from their own time in school.
By sending home practice multiplication flash cards, we are helping our students secure much-needed foundational skills, and honoring the requests of our best partners in their education, their parents.
