My Project
The FlashCash PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) program at FCJH aims to create a positive school culture by recognizing and rewarding students for demonstrating exemplary behavior. This initiative encourages students to embody the FLASH fundamentals—Foster Respect, Lead by Example, Achieve Goals, Show Kindness, and Honor Integrity.
Through the FlashCash program, teachers can award students with FlashCash tickets for exhibiting positive behaviors, such as helping peers, showing respect, and actively participating in class.
These tickets serve as a tangible acknowledgment of students’ efforts and contributions to a supportive school environment.
Students can redeem their FlashCash for a variety of rewards during designated “FlashCash Fridays,” which include fun incentives such as the requested snacks or school supplies, and special privileges like extra recess or a homework pass. Additionally, the program includes a monthly prize drawing, where students can enter to win larger rewards, creating excitement and motivation throughout the school community.
By fostering an environment where positive behavior is recognized and celebrated, the FlashCash program not only enhances student engagement but also promotes a culture of kindness and respect. It empowers students to take ownership of their actions and encourages them to support their peers in doing the same.
To sustain and expand this impactful program, we seek funding to provide more diverse rewards and resources.
