My students need 25 flash drives to store projects and assignments.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. M.'s classroom raised $576
This project is fully funded
I am a sixth-grade teacher in a middle school in Queens. I teach Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies. I am fortunate in that, in my class of 30 students, I have received a grant for 15 laptop computers. We use these computers on a daily basis with many academic purposes addressed. PowerPoints are often made by the children as projects, writing is typed and proudly displayed in hallways, and websites have been developed, which have been entered in city-wide contests.
While many of my students have computers at home, most cannot search the Internet or print work. I have been lending students flash drives, so that they can go home, complete an assignment, look at research saved during the school day, or save work to print at school. Students love the results of their hard work printing right there in our classroom.
For my class of 30 students, I currently have 4 flash drives, which the students share on a daily basis. I would like additional flash drives, so that each child can store assignments or information on their own drive, completing work on time, and not having to wait their turn for the fortune of borrowing a flash drive.
You can help hard-working, motivated students develop and expand upon their research and project development by providing flash drives for them to use.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
