Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our children's health and well being is in our hands. I teach 3-5th grade students the benefit of physical activity and health in a low socio-economic public school.
Whether you have children or not, children are the future of our nation. Guiding them and motivating them to be healthy and fit and showing them how and why exercise and good nutrition are important should be an important priority for all of us. Running a FitClub for at risk students with no equipment has made engaging them very difficult...however they still attend and are excited about improving their health.
We are in need of jump ropes, soccer balls, basket balls, footballs, exercise mats, and cones. These supplies will allow students to become active while working on team building skills and learning the importance of living a healthier life.
Your support will make if possible for my students to meet their fitness goals and live a healthier life.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
