FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Baker's classroom raised $324
This project is fully funded
I am a low-income school district teacher in need of help purchasing organizational binders for her students. I teach 4th grade students who are in desperate need of organizational skills. I purchased some binders for this year myself, much to breaking the bank, and the feedback has been phenomenal, from parents and especially the kids. I would love to do this each year since it is so beneficial for them. I cannot afford to do it alone.
my main obstacle is asking students to provide their own materials when many students are on free lunch. Many of my room parents work very hard just to keep their heads above water. I know they would want to help their kids with the above and beyond if they could.
I need binders, sheet protectors, and slash pockets to complete this project. I want to give kids the list of components of a FISH binder. It will include things such as our daily schedule, school calendar, class list, class handbook. There will even be a pocket for Homework and Papers to Keep at Home. There is a section in it for Parent/Teacher Communication as well.
This makes all the difference in the world to these kids. Organization in school goes a long way. It helps them outside of school but most importantly, it helps them be successful in school!
