My Students
I teach at a Title 1 school in South Carolina where the majority of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. My students are growing up in a small, tight knit, community much like I did. As diverse as my students are culturally and economically, they are just as diverse in their learning styles. Many of my students enjoy exploring, playing on I-Pads or Tablets, playing make-believe and writing. They work well together and enjoy a variety of multisensory activities.
My Project
My first graders need alternative seating options so they can find a space that is just right for them. When students are comfortable they are able to produce their best work! These folding desks,bouncy balls, balance discs, bouncy bands and wobble chairs will be perfect for them. Many of these seating choices can be moved to different areas so students can find a space that is just right.
Spending the majority of the day in a classroom can cause students to get restless.
I want them to be able to find areas and seating that is comfortable so they can collaborate and work together!
