First-Year Teacher's Classroom Needs

Help me give my students headphones, a mailbox, lapboards, organizer cart, caddies, bean bag chairs, books, games, bulletin board set, and erasers for an amazing classroom experience. I am a first-year teacher and I need help getting set up!

My Students

I teach 4th grade social studies to an amazing group of kids. The school is departmentalized, so I work with a team of 3 hardworking, talented teachers. Since we each have 20-25 students, I will be teaching social studies to nearly 100 students this year. The school has worked to build a strong sense of community, and, as a social studies teacher, I will do my part to create active citizens.

Inquisitive, thoughtful, and kind, my students are ready to shape the future.

They will use technology in new, exciting ways in the fight for social justice, and they will take an active role in their community (starting with our classroom).

My Project

As a first year teacher, I have a lot of new responsibilities. One of these responsibilities is creating an engaging space in which my students can thrive. I want to hit the ground running and give my students exciting lessons, but I am missing some of the classroom essentials, such as headphones, a mailbox, lapboards, organizer cart, caddies, bean bag chairs, books, games, bulletin board set, and erasers. I know some of the things I'll need, but other needs will arise during the school year.

With your help, I will be able to give my students the classroom they deserve.
