This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are superstars. I work with self-contained middle school students and this is my first year as a teacher. I have seen how hard the pandemic has disrupted their home life and how it seeps into the classroom. These valuable resources like headphones, coloring materials, and general classroom supplies will amplify their creativity.

My main goal this upcoming school year is to develop ways for students to express themselves visually and through spoken/written word.

Our special needs students have been especially neglected through the virtual/in-person transitions. You can help!
