Help me give my students a classroom library with a variety of Spanish books. Learners will be able to access books based on their preferences and reading levels.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
2023-2024 will be my first year as a Dual Language Immersion teacher. I have zero Spanish books at the moment.
Having a variety of Spanish books is crucial in a DLI classroom.
I plan to have a range of book levels- this is a critical component of effective reading instruction. My learners will be able to access books based on their interests and reading levels. Learners will practice and acquire skills to help them become proficient readers. They will be allowed to freely choose their own books that will keep them interested and motivated. My goal is to help my third graders develop a love for reading.
